Illustration Friday: "Island"

"No man is an island", that's what they say, and perhaps it's even true. But it doesn't stop one from feeling like one sometimes.
Good or bad, that depends on one's viewpoint.
On hot summer days it's way too crowded for comfort and you wish they'd all just go home already; when it's cold and all you want is a warm cuddle, it's deserted. Sometimes you long to get off it, but the boat's leaking. And I guess you could fix it but, all in all, you have an island all to yourself, and that's not too shabby.

  1. Very somber drawing for island. It's very effective emotionally!

  3. I agree, this is a great drawing and a neat perspective. There are rowboats nearby, so she can always go to the mainland when she desires. Yet, sometimes it's nice to have the island all to yourself. :)
