the sketchbook project 2013!

I'd completely forgotten about it! :o
So here's a drawing or two from the sketchbook:

It's actually too sad how they're building everywhere, leaving no green spots at all; the parks are all gravel and palm trees, pretty but useless. One of the cat colonies - the only one that had been untouched till now, where all the cats had been born and lived their whole lives, in peace - has been turned into a building site, and the cats have been dispersed. They used to lie in the grass all day, not bothering anyone, but now they're roaming the streets, looking for a place to stay a while. One of them got herself runover the other day.
Sorry for the ranting, I really shouldn't think about these things, it just gets me down.
So, here, have a tiny clip of something über cute!

  1. I'm SO sorry to hear about this... it makes me very sad too :( Unfortunately that's the Mediterranean mentality, I suppose... cement everywhere :( So much of Rhodes has been ruined too by ugly buildings. Poor cats :( &%$£*@%$§
On a much happier note... Lilli is doing so much better, thank God! LOL, that looks like a bare bum but it's actually a huge portion of her lower back skin being shaved for the surgery she had. She's been such a good and brave girl!!!
And that mysterious "P"... YES -- that's an Italian name!!! I will tell you his name: Paolo! :)
Oh how I LOVE your comments, Nancy! :)
Take care, sweetie, and keep enjoying your beautiful art!!!

    1. lol, yeah, dog poop - things did actually look better on that front, for a while, but now it's back to watching your step ...

  3. We used to have empty lots with a small creek running through where red-winged blackbirds would sit on pussy willows. We would walk the dogs there every day. It is all gone now. It is sad when things like this happen.
