In the shop now:

A kid's Yule gift.

Last year's calendar was massively ambitious, so this year I'm giving my nephew something tiny instead.

I no longer use live candles, but I do use incense. When the last match was lit sometime this summer, I saved the box. Finding a use for just-in-case scraps is the most satisfying thing ever, isn't it?

The finished box was decorated with coloured papers left over from last year's calendar, ink for the cat, and cut-up foil for the inside, since I didn't have any glitter. I also found some star sequins from my own childhood stash.

The box is for my nephew to hold whatever he wishes, but since he's been really into making funny faces lately, I printed out a photo of him doing just that. I thought he might appreciate a cut-off head lolling around in a box.

I just baked both a chocolate cake and a pan dulce filled with hazelnut cream (because I finally found Vemondo at Lidl again!), and tonight/tomorrow I'll make enough pizza to not have to cook for a week. I wish you all a wonderful holiday season!
