In the shop now:

Preparing for the comics festival - paper, paper , lots of paper ...

What's this? A selfie? What has the world come to.

It's come to me posing in my studio, probably giddy on the spring sun!  And unintentionally not exposing quite the extent of works in process on that table (and on the floor).

Would you like to see some of those WIPs being prepared for the Stockholm International Comics Festival?

I see this festival as my chance to do crafts as well as books, and I often have an overarching theme for them; this year, I decided on "Letters". I made a cardboard postbox that will hold zines in letter form.

Here's a video of me trying out the idea:

But I also made a spin-off of my own comic, "The Whole of The Moon" (available here) - a newspaper set in the same world. Here's the prototype::

And then, totally unrelated to the theme, I'm making some stuff with all the old paper scraps I never ever throw out because you never know:

Can you make out the shape of the bird? I can't decide if I should add eyes and details.

Oh! Did I ever mention that I was illustrating a children's book? The book (in Swedish) is done and out in stores! And it's coming with me to the festival. :)

The mailbox!
(Although it's not huge, I'm starting to worry that I won't be able to carry everything - this one in particular is not foldable. I'll have to be really smart when packing.)
